Skateboard Videos

Skateboard videos are typically documentations of tricks set to the latest in hip hop or punk music. Things are smashed, noses are broken and at least one fight typically breaks out with or without weapons. It is typically a video of general mayhem ensuing on a local level where nothing is protected from satire or outright destruction.

The jackass series were originally skateboard videos with funny asides in between the skateboard trick sessions. Pain is glorified and anything else just doesn’t matter. These are not videos for the weak at heart, those that are easily shocked, or any government or political person as many of the acts portrayed could easily get them arrested.

Skateboard videos are also great tools for learning new tricks. The skater gets ideas from seeing other tricks and even if they cannot reproduce those tricks exactly they may have taken something from the clip, whether it is riding style, clothing style, or the inspiration for a new trick. It might not be a good idea to watch these with parents around.
